Cathay Lodge, a masterpiece crafted by Lance Murray Quality Homes, where luxury meets cultural heritage and architectural artistry.
Nestled amidst the serene landscape of the Hunter Valley Vineyards, this residence embodies elegance and sophistication at every turn. The integration of Taiwanese culture was a paramount request of the owners, and Lance expertly incorporated these elements throughout the home. From subtle nods in design to more overt expressions of cultural influence, every detail pays homage to its Taiwanese roots.
As enthusiasts of architectural art, the owners’ passion is evident in every facet of Cathay Lodge. Lance’s team skillfully translated this vision into reality, particularly evident in the outdoor fencing artwork. Using sleepers arranged vertically at varying heights, the fence becomes a statement piece, seamlessly blending functionality with artistic expression.
The house is ingeniously divided into three sections, each connected by water ponds that gently flow beneath two bridges. Floor-to-ceiling glass on either side of the bridges allows natural light to flood the interiors, accentuating the seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The home has polished concrete floors was built to be open and utilise the panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and mountain ranges.
